App Preview¶
Introduction¶
Click the Preview button at any time while developing an app to see how it looks and how it behaves. A new browser tab or window opens showing the app user's UI as it will appear when published. You can preview an app at any stage of development—you don't need to publish it before previewing.
Record changes you make in an app while previewing stay in the app from one preview session to the next. But records added during preview mode are not copied to an app when you publish it. (When you publish an app, it uses a separate data store to hold module records.)
An app in preview mode can't be shared with anyone. It works only for the currently logged in App Builder developer.
Tip
If a preview doesn't open, try disabling your browser's popup blocker.
Preview Button¶
As with the App Builder menu, the width of the preview button changes from wide to narrow according to your browser window's dimensions:
Wide preview button | Narrow preview button |
---|---|
![]() | ![]() |
Preview Reload Button¶
In the previewed app, click the preview reload button at the top of the app page to reload any changes made to the app since the preview was launched.
