Dashboards¶
Introduction¶
Dashboards are accessed from an app's Dashboard page. They are information screens where views created on modules can be added as charts or widgets (see Views). Multiple dashlets can be added to each dashboard. Views created from an app's modules pages (such as the Profiles, Employees, or Audit Trail pages) can be added to the dashboard in dashlets.
When an app is created for the first time, a default blank dashboard is created by the system. The default dashboard can be viewed by all users. After this point, new custom dashboards can be created for each profile. In this way, the reports to be displayed in the dashboard will be customized for users of various profiles in the system. For example:

HR Dashboard: Leaves, New Employees, Upcoming Birthdays, etc.

Financial Dashboard: Expenses Awaiting Approval, Invoices Not Yet Paid, etc.
Creating a New Dashboard¶
To create a new dashboard, click the New Dashboard icon and fill in the information in the dialog:

Creating a New Dashlet¶
Dashlets are view reports displayed in the dashboard. To create a new dashlet, click the New Dashlet icon in the top right of the dashboard and fill in the information in the dialog. There are two different dashlet types: Chart and Widget.

| Width | Required | The horizontal length that the created dashlet can take. Displayed when the dashlet Type is Chart. |
| Height | Required | The vertical length that the created dashlet can take. Displayed when the dashlet Type is Chart. |
Sorting Dashlets on the Dashboard¶
Dashlets created in a dashboard are sorted by the time they were created by the system. However, you can customize the dashboard sorting.
Click the Dashlet Change Order button in the upper right of the Dashboard page to open a dialog with a list of dashlets belonging to the relevant dashboard. Drag and drop to reorder the dashlets and save to customize your dashboard.
