SAP SuccessFactors prerequisites

To use the SAP SuccessFactors connector with OAuth 2.0 authentication in the connection, you must have an SAP SuccessFactors client ID and private key.

Basic authentication is deprecated by SAP SuccessFactors.

These are the instructions for obtaining a client ID and private key in SAP SuccessFactors:

  1. To obtain the client ID (also known as the API key), you must register your OAuth 2.0 application in SAP SuccessFactors. The API key is provided at the conclusion of the registration process.

  2. To obtain the private key, you must generate a self-signed X.509 certificate in SAP SuccessFactors. The private key is provided at the conclusion of the certificate generation.
