Create a Transformation

Data can be transformed between a source and target system using any of the systems and data formats that Jitterbit supports. Depending on the source and target system selected, the transformation wizard takes the user through a set of steps to define the information required to perform the transformation. Data structures representing both source and target systems are presented in graphical tree structures.

Here is a brief summary of the steps you will typically take to define and run your data transformations using Jitterbit.

We recommend you work in the following order beginning with Management Console. Once your environment and roles are assigned, continue with Jitterbit Studio.

Management Console

  1. Create an Environment
  2. Create Roles and add Members to an Organization
  3. Assign Roles and Access Rights to an Environment

Jitterbit Studio

  1. Create a new Project

  2. Create a new Operation in your project and define all of its supporting components, including:

    1. Source
    2. Target
    3. Transformation
  3. Deploy the completed operation to an environment and run it

  4. Check the Activities Console for Results
