BMC Helix Business Workflows Connector

Summary

The Jitterbit Harmony BMC Helix Business Workflows Connector provides an interface for entering user-provided input such as credentials to create an authenticated BMC Helix Business Workflows connection. That connection provides the foundation to configure associated BMC Helix Business Workflows activities that interact with the connection.

Supported API Versions and Prerequisites

The BMC Helix Business Workflows connector requires the use of an agent version 10.1 or later. These agent versions automatically download the latest version of the connector when required.

Connector Overview

This connector is used to first configure a BMC Helix Business Workflows connection, establishing access to BMC Helix Business Workflows. It is then used to configure one or more BMC Helix Business Workflows activities associated with that connection as a source or target within an operation:

  • Get Case: Finds a case at a BMC Helix Business Workflows endpoint and is intended to be used as a source in an operation.

  • Search Cases: Finds a case at a BMC Helix Business Workflows endpoint and is intended to be used as a source in an operation.

  • Create Case: Creates a case into a BMC Helix Business Workflows endpoint and is intended to be used as a target in an operation.

  • Update Case: Updates a case into a BMC Helix Business Workflows endpoint and is intended to be used as a target in an operation.

Together, a specific BMC Helix Business Workflows connection and its activities are referred to as a BMC Helix Business Workflows endpoint.

Accessing the Connector

The BMC Helix Business Workflows connector is accessed from the Connectivity tab of the design component palette by using the Show dropdown to filter on Connectors.

Once a connection is configured, activities associated with the endpoint are available by using the Show dropdown to filter on Endpoints and then clicking the BMC Helix Business Workflows connection block:
