Introduction

As the connection will be an application that interfaces with GitHub, you will need a GitHub Username and personal access token to access the GitHub files. For a personal access token, you need to register at GitHub as a developer and create a GitHub personal access token. This can be done with a free GitHub account.

GitHub Registration Steps

At the GitHub website, login with the GitHub Username for which you need to create a personal access token. Go to Generate Personal Access Token.

The area marked in green shows the location of the GitHub Username. Click the Generate new token button:

Provide the appropriate permissions and click the Generate token button:

The personal access token will then be displayed. As it is displayed only once, copy it and store it safely where you can retrieve it when configuring the connector:
