Overview

When an API Manager API is called, connectivity to the API is enabled through one of two types of API Gateways: the Cloud API Gateway or a Private API Gateway.

These API Gateways handle the security tasks involved in accepting and processing calls made to an API Manager API.

This topic provides information on the two types of API Gateways that are available for use with API Manager APIs:

  • Cloud API Gateway
Information on how the Cloud API Gateway, hosted by Jitterbit, accepts and processes API Manager API calls within the system architecture.
  • Private API Gateway
Information on how a Private API Gateway, hosted on a private network, accepts and processes API Manager API calls within the system architecture.
