Start a Recipe or Template Project¶
Introduction¶
When you configure an integration recipe or process template in Marketplace, it is created as one or more projects in Cloud Studio. Click Start Project to begin. Some projects require customizations and create multiple Cloud Studio projects. Integration recipes and some project templates create a single project.
Projects Requiring Customizations¶
Some projects require endpoint customizations to endpoint applications. Applying these customizations and creating projects is a two-step process.
Step 1: Download Customizations¶
When you click Start Project, the steps needed to configure the project are displayed:
-
Documentation: Click the icon or link to download the template documentation. Read the documentation for instructions on how to apply the customizations before starting the project.
-
Download Files: Select the customization files to download and then click the icon or link to download the selected files.
-
Next: Click to move to Step 2.
Step 2: Create New Projects¶
In step 2, enter information to name the projects and select the environment:
-
Prefix: Enter a prefix for each project. A prefix is required as that makes it easy to recognize projects that are part of the same template when you have multiple projects.
-
Environment: Select an existing environment from the list.
-
Create Projects: When complete, click Create Projects. The project names are checked and validated as unique. If the names have already been used, select a new prefix. A progress dialog is displayed:
Note
It can take up to two minutes for projects to appear in Cloud Studio.
-
Back to Marketplace: Returns you to Marketplace. The projects are created in the background. You can also wait until the projects are created.
-
Go to Cloud Studio: Opens the Cloud Studio project index where you can open the projects and begin your work. This button is disabled until all projects are created.
-
When complete, a success dialog is displayed:

Create a Single Project¶
Projects that don't require any customizations or use a single project in Cloud Studio display the Create a New Project configuration screen:
-
Project Name: Keep the suggested name or give your project a new name. You can create multiple projects from a template, but each project needs a distinctive name.
-
Environment: Select an existing environment.
-
Description: Add any information that might be helpful to other users when using the project.
-
Create Project: Starts creating your project and displays a progress dialog:
