mvSQL Database Function - ISNUMERIC()¶

Summary¶

Determines whether an expression is a valid numeric type.

Syntax¶

ISNUMERIC( <Expression>)

Parameters¶

Expression¶

An expression that is a string type

Returns¶

int¶

Returns 1 if Expression is a number, 0 if it is not

Remarks¶

SQL Server correctly handles E notation and commas in numbers, whereas the other database providers do not.
