mvSQL Database Function - RPAD()¶

Summary¶

The RPAD function returns a copy of the string that is right-padded to the total number of characters that the length argument specifies.

Syntax¶

RPAD(<string>, <length>, <padchar>)

Parameters¶

string¶

The string to pad.

length¶

The desired length.

padchar¶

The character to pad with if the desired length is greater than the current string length.

Returns¶

A padded string.

Examples¶

RPAD('HelloWorld', 8, '0')

Returns

lloWorld

RPAD('HelloWorld', 12, '0')

Returns

HelloWorld00
